Meet Capt. Herman Demoll

I was born and raised in Venice, Louisiana. My family has been on these waters for five generations, and I can't imagine doing anything else with my days.

Growing up here, fishing wasn't a hobby — it was just part of life. The marsh, the bayous, the rigs offshore. I learned this fishery from the people who knew it best, and I've spent my whole career adding to that knowledge.

When I'm guiding, I'm fishing the same spots I fish on my own time. The places I know hold fish, the channels that produce in certain tides, the rigs that light up in the right season. That's what you get when you book a trip with me — someone who actually lives here.

I run inshore trips and combo trips depending on what my clients are after and what the fish are doing. Families, first-timers, and serious anglers have all been on my boat, and I enjoy guiding all of them. Every day looks a little different out here, and that's what keeps it good.
