Inshore Fishing in Venice, Louisiana

Redfish, Trout, Sheepshead, Tripletail and Red Snapper When the Bite Is On

Venice is the kind of place that shows up on fishing bucket lists. It sits at the bottom of Louisiana, where the Mississippi meets the Gulf, and the fishing is as good as anywhere on the coast.

The marsh holds redfish, speckled trout, sheepshead, and tripletail. The offshore rigs hold red snapper. Capt. Demoll has spent his life fishing both, and he'll put your group exactly where the action is on the morning you're out.

Trips depart at 6:00 AM from Venice Marina.

Target Species

  • Redfish — hard-fighting and abundant throughout the marsh

  • Speckled Trout — the inshore staple; strongest in the cooler months

  • Sheepshead — structure-oriented and underrated fighters

  • Tripletail — an exciting visual target when conditions are right

  • Red Snapper — available when running the offshore rigs

Inshore Trip Pricing

2 anglers - $850
3 anglers - $950
4 anglers - $1,050
5 anglers - $1,300

Want to Add Snapper?

If you want to target snapper specifically, see the Red Snapper Trip page. Or if you'd like to fish both the marsh and the rigs in one day, the Inshore & Snapper Combo covers both fisheries.
